Human obsessed with material-joy, lost reasoning power, and under the influence of desire does such deeds which are prohibited. Human obsessed with greed does not bother about religion and anti-religion, and fair and unfair practice etc., he does not hesitate in cheating people. Human obsessed with belongingness lack feeling of even or equality, and exhibit partiality. Human obsessed with angry behave rudely, even with respectable person and harm others. He do not bother about how others will react?

Bhagavad-Gita: Chapter-2

On the peace proposal of Lord Krishna in court, Duryodhana sarcastically reacted that “peace already exist in my kingdom, look no body speak against me in court”, Lord Krishna clarified, people in court are not speaking against you not because that they are happy with you, but out of fear. The peace established at arm (gun-point) is not sustainable.

Sugriva said- O Hunumana! There is no one capable of obstructing you on this earth, in sky, in heaven or in the neither regions. Therefore, I am especially counting on you to find Sita.

Merabai was from a reputed royal dynasty, when she started chanting divine song, at nooks and corners, the royal family become concern that it will bring bad name to their family. Today people in world remember immortal Merabai for her devotion, and universal delivered spiritual messages and divine-songs, and that royal family is also known or referred due to her in full dignity. On the contrary those who are worry about family how long their honor last?

Pledge of Sanjaya

Sanjaya stated- Madhusudana Krishna spoke for Arjuna who was in state of full compassion and depressed, eyes full of tears. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/01)

The first chapter is entrance to the divine-knowledge, it deal with the complicated situation which devotee usually encounter in the beginning. Human in the beginning phase of devotion like to realize the element of Divine, attend divine peace and bliss. However, when he realize that he has to abandon lovely bonding with family, he become frustrated and agitated. “Anurag” is state of conscious according to Divine-God or free from material affection. “Anurag” affection according to Divine-God initiates internal conflict between bodily conscious nature and one who know to remain unattached from the nature. The family bonding becomes obstacle in the path of “Anurag”. Karovas and Pandavas were standing against each other in battle field of Kuruksetra, but only few like Arjuna were concerns on the loss of lives and wealth. Arjuna belief on family tradition and religion as sustainable was only ill belief. Such ill belief only creates separate-separate caste and community. The clarity on the responsible deed and liberation of human in any circumstance will make Arjuna “Anurag” consisting of religion, laws, union, and conscious. True religion creates only one community the devotees of one Divine-God.

Material compassion, lamentation and tears all are signs of ignorance of Arjuna. Lord Krishna has killed the demon called Madhu, thereafter Lord Krishna was also called Madhushudana as one who kills demons or intoxication. Here calling Divine-God as Madhushudana by Sanjaya is very significant, to indicate that Divine-God will wipe out demon form of ignorance or misunderstanding of Arjuna as well as he will ensure that all demons including Duryodhana in battlefield are finished.

Pledge of Lord Krishna

Divine-God Stated- O Arjuna ! From where you have accumulated affection at this unusual time? Because this is neither conduct of best human, nor facilitator of heaven and nor providing reputation. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/02)

Lord Krishna is surprised and cautiously making Arjuna to realize that how he is infected with ignorance in such unusual and in-even circumstance, which will neither facilitate him heaven nor honor and only push him into criticisms and hell. World has confidence upon the bravery and sincerity of Arjuna, this infamous act will only disappoint the world and world will never forgive him for running away from battle field in affection and fear.

Arjuna lamentation for his kinsmen and deviation from his prescribed duties by declining to fight, such impurities were never expected. Therefore, it was certainly a matter of great surprising. The cowardice was not only manifested in thought and speech rather also in the action of Arjuna. At the time of war a solder reflect bravery and commitment not withdrawing syndrome. Divine-Lord who is supreme cause of all cause (Brahma-Samhita 5.1) is trying to bring back Arjuna in his responsible deed.

O son of Prtha! It does not fit to you to embrace impotency. O Parantap! Abandon this weakness of heart and stand up for war. (Bhagawad-Gita: 02/03)

Different people in material world think differently about manhood, some think manhood in business, some in politic, some in sport, some in misusing the position or misappropriating the resource or violation of norm etc. and all depart from this world empty hand.

Arjuna mother Prtha was sister of father Vasudeva of Krishna. Lord Krishna addresses Arjuna frequently as son of Prtha as his intimate friend. This way Lord Krishna is also reminding the Arjuna, to abandon pettiness and obey the order of Mother. Mother Kunti (Prtha) has issues her ruling that time has arrived for the purpose ksatriyani give birth to babies.

Arjuna was Parantap, war austere, enemies use to run away seeing Arjuna, now at this crucial stage it does not make sense that Arjuna shall abandon battle.

The above statement was stated to clarify the doubt of Arjuna that not to fight war against dictators though they are relatives is not religion. It will only cheer the enemies. The weakness in the hear has just appeared in unjust circumstances therefore, brave like Arjuna can easily abandon the weak feeling, and stand up for the battle in favor of justice.

Pledge of Arjuna

Arjuna said- O Madhusudana ! How I can fight war with relishing arrows towards Bhisma and Drona? Because O Arisudana! They both are worthy for worship. (Bhgavad-Gita: 02/04)

On the condemned by Lord on Arjuna’s positioning of not to fight war, Arjuna become agitated for not getting endorsement. Arjuna is sharing his reservation that Lord Krishna being Madhusudana and Arisudana is killer of giants, He has killed several giants who were full of ego and keeping hate without any reason, and however how he is expected to kill highly respectable people of society like Bhisma and Drona. I am not cowardice, I am not afraid of being killed rather afraid of killing of others.

Bhisma was relative by birth and he loved Arjuna. As long as there is illusion till than only there is attachment with family. Arjuna was most favorite student of Druna, Druna has taught only to use “Bramhaastra” to his son Asvatthama, but he prefered and trusted Arjuna and has taught to use and also to counter “Bramhaastra” . To only thinking of killing them is sin for Arjuna. Further he belief that it is general decorum that even verbal fight with superiors is condemnable.

Therefore, I prefer better to live in this world by begging “anna” divine than to kill respectable experienced Spiritual-Masters, because after killing Spiritual-Masters I will only enjoy blooded material desire. (Bhgavad-Gita: 02/05)

The view of Lord Krishna started working upon the protester Arjuna. Therefore, now he is trying to balance his views with the views of Divine-God.

Though people will disapprove Arjuna decision to opt begging “anna” Divine for sustaining live, but it will be less painful for him than to kill beloved elders and respectful spiritual-masters of family and nation. He is drawing situation as if he has no choice, only there is two choices either to perform abandoned act of killing elders and respectful teachers or perform act of begging, out of which he prefer to less painful act of begging. Here “Anna” denote to Divine-God, attending which human is satisfied forever. Here Arjuna has a plan to serve spiritual-masters and attend Divine-God, while remaining with family.

Begging in religion is termed as instead of doing self demanding ”Bhiksha“ beg. Which is prohibited deed, severely condemned by Mahatama Goutam Budha.

Here Arjuna is bringing issue of financial consideration which is another complex of the context. Both the higher souls Guru Dronacarya and Bhismapitama were above the material desires. The manipulator Duryodhana has compelled both Guru Dronacarya and Bhismapitama, that both have lived in the facilities provided by the kingdom, therefore, it is not act of responsive for them to ditch him at this time and join Pandavas.

A person sale his good or services not his body, by bying good and services the purchaser can not treat the saler as his permanent slave. A maid servent sale her services, any one by payning small amount cannot claim total control over her. Any one can quit job or place anytime. All these are cases of slavery. Moreover a person is free to leave present place or job and switch over to other options, if denied to do so is case of bonded labour. Thus person like Guru Dronacarya and Bhismapitama of higer status were treated as bonded slave by state terrorism.

A teachers or Spiritual-Masters or elders those who are engages in an abominable action or siding with evil and has lost his sense of discrimination, lose the respectability and is fit to be abandoned.

Further, scriptures advise to perform political deeds abandoning affection, hate, material desire, greed, angry and violence etc.

Here illusion is because the evil which appear in evil form can be wipe-out easily with wider consensus, but when evil knock in form of good, it become difficult to get ride. When Ravana appeared in form of saint, mother Sita was also cheated.

We also do not know which one is better “to participate in war or not to participate in war” we are unsure about who will win. Whom we do not want to kill and live without them, they sons of Dhrtarastra are standing in front of us. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/06)

Arjuna is again giving reasoning that they are unsure, about the victory, they will enjoy kingdom and which options is best etc. Nobody knows the future. Though fully enthusiast but totally in dark. Arjuna does not want such victory in war which will compel him to leave without relatives, friends and all those who will lose their lives.

Here Arjuna is accepting that he is in dark or ignorance and in anxious will ask solution. Further, it is also clear that Arjuna does not want to enjoy kingdom but he has attachment with family.

I in conscious of affection in subject of religion, nature mislead by abnormality of weakness requesting to advise me on the way which shall be certainly well-being. I am your disciple, under your shelter, guide me. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/07)

Earlier Arjuna was considering Lord Krishna as his own level, Now he has surrendered to Divine-God and expecting guidance in his future course of action.

Arjuna was not adverse to war, but expecting deaths he was afraid, he found no other option than to withdraw from war, which was against his nature. He accepting the accusation of becoming weak hearted and finding bonding with family as obstacle in understanding religion and his self responsibility in conflicting situation, he has taken decision to take shelter of principle of Divine-God.

He is curious to know how he can attend libration in such war with relatives and friends. He wants not only knowledge but also handholding support or constant practical guidance. Therefore, he became student and is under the shelter of Divine-God. Now it becomes responsibility of Divine-God to guide Arjuna and facilitate his liberation.

The complex system of material world create perplexity for human, a bona fide spiritual master is of great help in attending purpose of life. He is misery man who does not solve the problem of life as human and who thus quits this world like the cats and dogs, without understanding the science of self-realisation (Brhad-aranyaka upanisad/ 3.8.10). One shall not waste time in excessive affection with family, community and territory in material conception of life.

If I win prosperous, unrivaled kingdom on earth and even receive throne of heaven owned by Divine Indra, I do not perceive them enough to remove my grief which is drying my senses. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/08)

The condition of Arjuna was such that on perceiving possible loss of lives and wealth in war he was actually mourning, and was aware of that after the victory in war, he will not be relived from pain and mourning. The gain of kingdom where all citizens are enjoying prosperity, peace and happiness, with no sign of hostility can also not remove his soreness. The Kingdom of Lord Indra will also be unable to remove his suffering. Arjuna has already stated that he does not have any desire for victory, kingdom and material joy.

The conclusion of Arjuna that materials of world and even heaven will not be able to wipe out his grief and he was also afraid of falling into sin for becoming cause of loss of lives and wealth as per his limited knowledge.

The problem of material existence — birth, old age, disease and death- cannot be counteracted by accumulation of wealth, economic and political power. These can be resolved only through divine consciousness and unattached deeds a right path for sustainable divine prosperity and peace. Economic development or supremacy over the world can be finished at any moment.

When the results of pious activities are finished, one fall down again from peak of happiness to the lowest status of life. Such downfalls only constitute more cause for lamentation.

Pledge of Sanjaya

Sanjaya said-O King! As such stating clearly that “I will not fight war” to omnipresence Lord Krishna, Arjuna the winner of sleep fell silent. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/09)

Though Arjuna the chastiser of enemies has great respect to the words of Lord Krishna, internally he was considering that to fight war is not a wise decision, therefore, he openly shared his feeling with Divine-God and then thereafter when nothing left to speak, he become silent.

All these development was in favor of Dhrtarastra who wanted that his sons shall enjoy the throne. Withdrawal of Arjuna from battlefield who was competent to defeat his enemies will be great fortune for his Duryodhana and other sons.

However, surrender of Arjuna to Divine-God indicates that he would be soon free from the false lamentation and enlightened with perfect divine knowledge.

Pledge of Divine-God

O Descendant of Bharata! Thereafter “Hrsikesam” Divine-God who knows everything in the middle of both armies cheerfully delivered this speech to unhappy Arjuna. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/10)

Enthustic Arjuna has requested Divine-God to take him in the centre of battle-field to know those who are present against him. Unfortunately seeing own relatives and several past friends in opposite his heart become week and decided to abandon his objective for which he came to battle field.

Lord Krishna was surprise and laughing upon the change of conscious of Arjuna due to affection with family etc. On one side Arjuna has develop stand of not to fight war on the other side he is taking shelter of Divine-God for guidance, both were contradicting a state of laughing.

Divine-God was very well understanding that human in grief is unable to take appropriate decision on his responsibility. Therefore, Divine-God has sympathy and mercy for Arjuna. He was looking on the feeling not on the speech or decision of His devotee. Divine-God is very kind hearted He accept everyone who surrender to Him. Divine-God is “Harsikesh” which denote he know everything. He was confidence that when conscious of Arjuna will be awaken his weakness heart will dispel. For that reason Divine-God in simple and objectively will deliver his message.

The conversation in between intimated friends is progressing openly, the gravity of universal message is not only beneficial for Arjuna but for all, every human being is equally entitled to hear and get liberation. A true Libration denotes a man who is free from hate and affection and performs unattached deed or without any expectation for others dedicating to Divine-God gets liberation from birth-death cycle.

Divine-God said-O Arjuna! You are mourning for those human who does not deserve, and speak like “Pandit”-wise, however “Pandit” -wise does not mourn for those whose soul has departed and those whose soul has not departed. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/11)

Those who are under the shelter of material world they grief and those who are under the shelter of Divine-God they are free from grief. Human grief or fear when he divides the materials and creatures of worlds into the categories of these belong to me and these does not belong to me. Therefore in case of accessing or enjoying favorable materials and creatures human is happy but when lose them he is worry, fear and grief etc. Dhrtarastra has the feeling of affection with his sons and feeling of hate with sons of Pandu. Though sons of Pandu were respecting him greatly. Arjuna has no separate feeling but he has the affection with the entire Kuru families and friends, therefore both were worry but for different-different type of affection.

Religion see everything in term of truth and untruth, those who are immortal are truth, like Divine-God and souls and those who are mortal are untruth like body and nature etc. Immortal never ceases therefore to grief for immortal is foolish or ignorance. On the other hand mortal never remain stable for a single moment, every moment they move towards scarcity and decay etc. Therefore, there is no reason to grief for those. Those who has the knowledge of truth and untruth or body and soul and know to control both is called wise, learned and “Pandit”.

The favorable or unfavorable situation which human encounter is results of his own past deeds or created by circumstances, however all favorable and unfavorable start and end, they all never sustain. All the favorable and unfavorable, liked or unliked shall be considered gifted by God, to get free from sin and affection with sorrow-happiness. When human is remain unattached from the every situation he is also easily free or sorrow-happiness.

Lord Krishna is accusing Arjuna that he only speaking like learned and wise person but actually he is not because a wise never lament. Arjuna who was posing as learned, his lamenting is unworthy. The human when assumed body as own creates affection with all those who take care of body in other words with relatives and on thinking of or on actual departure of them, he grief.

It has never been that neither I was nonexistent, nor you were not, nor these kings were not at any time, and neither it is that we all will not exist onwards. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/12)

The Supreme Lord is maintainer of innumerable living entities both in their conditioned and in their liberated situation according to their individual deeds, and lives in heart of all (). Their individuality existed in the past, and their individuality will continue in the future without interruption. Therefore, there is no cause for lamentation for anyone.

The present message indicates towards immortal soul and mortal body, and advocating to look into the progression in soul-form discarding bodily consciousness. Simply human shall understand that it is not that Lord Krishna, Arjuna and Kings etc. before appearing in present form were not existing. Lord Krishna is emphasizing that definitely all were existing in past and in future also all will surely exist. In present physically bodily form creatures are visible. There is absolutely no scarcity in Supreme-Soul and creature-souls in any times, situation and territory etc. Further Divine-God has clarified in (04/05) that numerous births of His and Arjuna have taken place, unfortunately Arjuna has forgotten but He remembers of both. Thus Divine-God is superior and separate from creatures in soul-form or bodily form, although souls are always in union with Divine-God.

In other words when this or present bodies were not existing then also we all were existing and when these bodies will ceases than also we all will exist. These only prove irrelevant of bodies and souls are the sustainable form. The entire visible scenes, nerves-senses through which creatures view and the bodily form creatures the viewers are mortal, if not death will die certainly. But the Soul which enlightens body is immortal.

In next stanza Divine-God is giving reason not to lament for those who have departed.

As in this body of soul, phases of childhood, youth and old-age come to pass, similarly another body is obtained, A restrained person never confound in such changes. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/13)

The body is constantly changes moving towards scarcity. Childhood, youth and old age and death are manifested in the journey of body. The bodily conscious human does not recognize his soul form which is separate from body, invariable and immortal and main source of live or function of body. The changes in body are visible by nerves-senses but micro soul is beyond the limit of nerves-senses.

The individual soul after death transmigrate to material or spiritual world by the Divine-God according to their own deeds or virtues and sins accumulated. Therefore, there is no reason for Arjuna to lament on the possible or actual death of Bhisma or Drona for whom he had lot of concern.

A man who know the constitution of the individual soul, Supersoul, and “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun” or nature, and have the ability to manage them never delude on the change of body. He being free from affection, hate and bonding with body and nature also does not get rebirth and attend divine world.

Human shall accept the dualities of pleasure and pain with an equipoised mind, avoid excessive attachment and hatred, for both lead to degradation.

O son of Kunti! winter-summer and happiness-sorrow given by nerves-senses perception are mortal and enter-exit or comes and goes. O descendant of Bharata! Therefore, learn to tolerate them. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/14)

A farmer or household women etc. perform their prescribed duties in the month of Magha (January-February) extreme cold and May-June, extreme hot. One has to execute his duties in spite of climatic inconveniences, there is no excuse for responsible person.

One has to follow principles of religion in order to rise up his platform of knowledge which liberates him from clutches of “maya” illusion.

The Arjuna has been reminded here about his blood relation with his great mother Kunti and greatness from Bharata, father side, a great heritage to instill feeling of responsibility in him.

The nerves-senses which give knowledge or measure of the worldly materials, when it develop bonding with body and nature, thus human become bodily conscious and keep on worry about the mortal materials, which cause only pain. The happiness and pains derived from materials are also mortal.

Human when come into the contact with favorable object, human, situation, event, territory, time and etc. they feel happy. When he get object, human, situation, event, territory, time and etc. which he does not like he experiences sorrow or pain. Human developing relation with favorable unfavorable create feeling of happiness and sorrow. To acknowledge favorable and adversity is not fault rather building relation with them and allowing to creation of affection, hate, happiness and sorrow etc. internally is abnormality.

The immortal feeling generated internally in nerves-senses in not in soul-form of human, he only acknowledged it., he is separate and immortal. It depends upon a devotee or Yogi to be aloof from cold-hot, happiness-sorrow and honor-disrespect etc

Because O Great Human! The contact of nerves and senses does not disturb the intelligence human those who is even in happy-sorrow, and he is eligible for liberation from birth-death cycle. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/15)

Generally human like to see or pray to God to change the unwanted situation in his own favor. Arjuna also thought that he can change the situation or avoid death of numerous relatives and people if he withdraws from the battle field. However, the best part is that he also wanted his liberation in that complicated situation. He was assuming that he may invite sin by killing rival relatives, friends and others. Therefore, he may escape sin-form war and thus automatically will gain virtue. This was cases of an ignorance and affection on the part of Arjuna but it created scope for Lord Krishna to awaken Arjuna and entire human communities that everyone facing whatsoever difficult situation can get liberation by being unattached and performing responsibility.

Intelligence human remains neutral or even in happy-sorrow state of circumstances. Bodily conscious human accept nature born happy-sorrow (13/20–21). Soul-conscious human independent from bonding with body-nature does not accept or consume happy-sorrow, they always remain even or behave equality.

The sensual touch or nature born materials does not affect favorable or adverse to human unattached from his own nerves-senses-mind-body. He develops this status through devotion and austerity.

Those who have the feeling and vision of equality they acknowledge the happy-sorrow but they does not enjoy or lament internally by nerves-senses-mind. Thus when they contact sorrow state of affairs they with no trouble remain unattached. Such intelligence human become immortal, because bonding with body and nature only cause rebirth and hell.

The creatures get human body to raise above the expriencing happy-sorrow , to attend divine peace and happiness, after achieving those nothing remain to achive (Bhagavad-Gita: 06/22). The desire for favorable and dislike for adversity reduces the capability of human-being to use favorable-unfavorable in the best way and gracefully face adversity.

Accepting the favorable object, creature, situation and event etc. is a case of enjoyment of favorable. However, mentally free from expectation, if plesent-objects or favorable-objects are used for those who are deprived that it is best way of utilisation of the favorable fortune.

The desire for happiness or hope are causes of sorrow. If we consciously abandon the happiness of favorable situation then we can easily face adversity without sorrow.

The human who enjoy or consume worldly happy-sorrow fall down rebirth and heaven. The inteligence human understan that favorable-unfavorable and happy-sorrow are immortal will not last, use them properly for purification of nerves- mind-body from affection, hate, desire, greed, and angry etc. and remain even and get liberation.

One who is steady, tolarate distress and happiness, sever family and material bonding, discharge his higher duties and complete his spiritual realisation.

Untruth objects or material body lack own sovereignty and there is no dearth or change in truth or eternal soul. Divine-Conscious intelligence human has realizes the end or the element of both. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/16)

The body was not existing before the birth, body will not exist after death and at present it is decaying constantly, in all the three tenses of times it does not remain in stable-form or present-form or in own independent sovereignty or endurance.

There is no dearth or deficiency of truth object, when there was no body before birth the soul was existing, on the destroy of body also soul will exist, presently when body will keep on changing, soul will remain same. The soul is immortal, it is truth and body is mortal it is untruth.

The world is constantly changing. We cannot see the same world again. The body is part of nature. Body conscious human perform function with nerves-senses-body. The object and function is form of world or nature. The soul is not indulge with body and nature. The world inclusive of nerves-senses-body is moving towards scarcity. Only Divine-God has independent sovereignty and is enlightener of all living and non-living things. Only truth is has existence in other words all living things and non-living things draw sovereignty from Divine-God. The sovereignty which manifest in mortal or untruth object belongs to Truth or Divine-God. Please refer (07/05,13/1–2, 13/19, 15/16).

Arjuna concern was that the solders will die if they fight. On this Divine-God has clarified whether they fought or not they will certainly die, untruth will always die and are dying. But the truth form soul is immortal, it never be destroyed. Therefore, intelligence person does not grief on death of body.

He is un-destroyable, on which entire sensually visible world exists. None is capable of destroying this imperishable. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/17)

The micro soul is spiritual spark spread all over the body, the current of the spirit soul is felt in consciousness. The energies of bodily movement are emanating from soul and spirit.

The truth and untruth was mentioned in (02/16), here firstly Divine-God has referred truth i.e soul-form which is immortal, un-destroyable and complete, but is not subject to nerves-senses. The body which is identified or acknowledge by nerves-senses is mortal, will ceases. We shall not misunderstood that soul and spirit are far way, rather they are not visible.

The entire world is manifested by that sustainable element, therefore that sustainable element should be known in this world. This soul-form human or creatures are un-exhaustible or un-destructive. However, this body is destructive always moving towards decay. Nobody can stop this decaying process. Whether Arjuna fight battle or not it hardly matter to the fate of body, body is mortal, it will ceases and soul which is immortal will remain.

All bodies of this un-destroyable, un-seen and sustainable soul of living entity are said destroyable. Therefore, fight O descendant of Bharata. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/18)

The soul is invariable in past present and future, there is no change in soul, and therefore it is said immortal or un-destroyable.

The soul is beyond nerves-senses, invisible or immeasurable, not subject of evidence. The human who has devotion to the principle of Divine-God he realize the element of soul or spirit.

The soul is sustainable, in every tense or past, present and future it exist,

All the bodies which this soul has in world are perishable, they ceases, always decay. A soul takes body of different species according to their deeds of previous birth.

The material body is perishable, no chance of maintaining it for indefinite. Soul of the human cannot be killed. Therefore, there is no case for lamenting for living entity whose soul is immortal, and living-body which cannot be protected permanently. As soon as soul is out of body, the body begins to decompose. The spirit soul maintain the body, body is unimportance.

All the bodies which are visible are immortal, but unfortunately soul-form human who is immortal develop relation with body and nature and develop feeling of “I-am” and “this belong to me”. If he develops relation with wealth he considers himself as wealthy, and if he develop relation with knowledge he consider himself as learner and so on.

The soul-form and body are both separate, not giving importance to soul form and developing bonding with body and nature only create abnormalities of ego etc. Those who give importance to soul-form and remain unattached with body-nature are called intelligence. He know properly that truth is truth and untruth is untruth, therefore he never lament.

Divine-God is advising Arjuna to understand truth and untruth and abandon worry and fight war as responsibility. Further in (13/09) he has prohibited affection with son, wife and house etc.

The human who think to be slayer of living entity and the human who think this living entity is slain, they both do not know this, because this neither kill nor is killed. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/19)

Those who consider this living entity or living soul as slayer they does not know this properly because living entity or living soul does not have the feeling of doer. The Divine-God has taken pain to explain that all functions are performed by the nature, those who experiences this they experiences the feeling of non-doer or un-attachment of soul (Bhagavad-Gita: 13/29).

When soul form human develop assume his relation with body and nature they develop the feeling of doer.

Similarly those who consider this living entity or living soul as mortal they are also not correct, because no abnormality appear in this. The object in which abnormality or changes appear they originate-destroy, that only ceases.

The human who consider living entity or living soul as slayer and the human who consider living entity or living soul as slain both lack knowledge.

The living entity or soul-form human is immortal therefore human shall not grief on his birth or death of his bodily manifestation.

At any time this soul is neither born nor demise, nor being soul it will become anything, because it is unborn, eternal, invariable and primitive, even when body is perished this does not end. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/20)

If you are not living in soul conscious you does not feet that you are immortal, you are under fear of own death and of others near and dear one. All around the world the soul conscious human are similar, follower of same Spirit.

Simply soul has no birth, so it has no past, present and future. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval.

The human body take birth from the womb of mother, manifest own sovereignty or produces some effect, grows or changes, gradually dwindles and at last vanishes into forgetfulness or void. Under the impression of body we trace history of birth, etc. But soul has neither offshoots nor changes. The nerve-sense and body become weak but soul remains intact, there is never dearth in it. It is invariable and stable, remain in same form. It is such an oldest that it has never born. The object of material world cease after becoming old, but it survives without any abnormalities. It does not destroy along with the body.

The human through knowledge acknowledge soul, conscious is symptom of soul. The Divine-God has stated that this soul is integral part of Him and is sustainable (Bhagavad-Gita: 15/07).

O Son of Partha! The human who know this living-entity is indestructible, eternal, unborn and immutable. How he can kill anyone and how he can instruct to kill anyone? (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/21)

On who realize that this living-entity or soul is neither destructible, nor changes ever, nor born nor lack anything, it is absolute and everlasting, how he can think of killing or executing killing of someone. The soul is prohibited from any abnormalities.

The soul conscious living-being is unattached from deed or feeling of doer. Therefore, he shall not lament on death rather perform responsible deed prescribed in scriptures. Therefore, Divine-God ordered Arjuna to fight battle for supreme justice. The sovereignty of Duryodhana was infamous for atrocities and scriptures recommend punishment of such perpetrator.

As human remove old cloth and wear new cloth, similarly living entity abandoning old body receive new body. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/22)

The divine conscious intelligence does not grief on matter of death (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/13). As we does not weep for changing old or dirty cloth similarly in change of body we shall not cry.

As long as living-entity has relation with nature, he changes body one after another according to his deed. Till living-entity attend his soul consciousness, and perform unattached deed free from affection-hate he keeps on traveling in birth-death cycle.

A materialistic minded human feel happy while changing cloth or wearing new cloth, but worry on death because he want to leave more and is ignorant about life after death. He lament on remnant body. A human who is in union with Divine-God, he does not depend on mortal sovereignty and he happily abandons bonding with body and nature and does not grief on death or change of body.

Many times small baby cry while bathing and changing cloth due to ignorance, he lack senses on need to take bath and change used cloth to remain clean.

The ignorance, detachment from Divine-God and deed in expectation of material-joy and accumulation cause rebirth. Human shall properly utilize the freedom given to living-entity in form of human-body in liberation from birth-death-cycle.

Weapon cannot cut this soul, fire cannot burn this, water cannot wet this and air cannot dry this. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/23)

Weapons cannot cut or penetrate the soul of living-entity, weapons are made of matter of world, element of worlds has no affect upon the souls.

Fire cannot burn soul, the affect of fire does not reach soul.

Water cannot moistened or wet the soul. The soul is unaffected from water.

Air does not have capacity to dry the soul. The soul is immune from air.

Weapons, fire, water and air does not have any effect upon the soul of living-entity, they cannot create any abnormality in soul, thus soul is immune from weapons, fire, water and air.

Earth, water, fire, air and sky are “punchbhut” or five-elements out of which body is made. Earth, water, fire and air are part of sky and they does not have any effect on sky. Whereas soul is beyond sky then how element of earth, water, fire and air can create any affect upon soul. Sky does not perform any function, so there is no question of its affect upon soul.

How the “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun” inclusive matter can reach or affect “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun” exclusive soul.

Soul is a integral part of Divine-God from which entire earth get sovereignty, haow object of material world can cause abnormality to the element of Divine which is omnipresence and enlighten of all.

All the weopon made of earth, fire, water and air cannot inhaliate soul, therefore Arjuna should understood the element of Divine to clarify his ignorance.

This soul cannot be cut, this cannot be burnt, this cannot be wet, this cannot be dried. Because this “sanatan” sustainable soul exists in everyone in absolute, immoveable, eternally stable. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/24)

Why weapon cannot penetrate soul is explained here. Soul is not subject to cut, penetration or any abnormality by weapon, “mantra” or crush etc.

Soul of living-entity is unaffected from fire, fire or “mantra” does not have the capacity to burn soul.

Soul is not eligible to wet therefore water or any liquid cannot wet the soul.

Air cannot exploit or create affect upon soul. Once Augusta Muni has exhausted sea, but no one can exhaust soul.

Soul remain as it is, no function of material world can enter into soul.

Soul is ever-existing, there was no time when soul was not, it is not that soul will be not at any time, soul remain in every time as it is.

This soul exists universally in every creature in same form.

No material or force of world can bring movement, or dislocate soul.

Soul has stable nature.

Soul is sustainable, it is not possible that it was not at any time, it is beyond birth-death.

The world is not sustainable, not stable for a moment, but soul is “sanatan” sustainable. All the objects of world are moveable and mortal.

Many people think eating of drinking material touched by people of other community destroy the religion, where as religion of soul conscious human is sustainable, universe, beyond any abnormality. Many think allowing women or disadvantaged or suppressed people to access education will bring downfall of religion. Many think allowing women and suppressed people to place of worship or for worship are anti-religion, because they are not clean. Whereas Bhagavad-Gita: 02/23, 24) is stating soul-form human is unaffected by any material of world. All these are actually imposition of ideology of dominant not sustainable religion as explained in the scriptures. This soul is unexplainable, this is inconceivable, free from abnormalities. Therefore, understanding this soul one shall not grief on body. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/25)

The objects of material world are visible by the nerves of living-entities, but the soul is beyond nerves, it cannot be seen, touch, smell, tasted and hear etc.

Soul is beyond thought, not felt it can only self-realized.

Soul is free from any abnormality, it remain unchanged for perpetual.

One who has realized element of Divine, they see soul in these perspective. When mind of devotee is under austere, he enter into Divine world and within movement he realize all the properties of Divine existing in his soul. He realize that soul is absolute, sustainable and truth or immortal. Therefore, knowing these Arjuna shall not lament.

O mighty Arm! If, however, you assume that this soul always take birth and always die, then also you shall not grief on this. (Bhagavad-Gita:02/26)

Those who are fearless their arm is big, their hand can reach anywhere.

Many philosophers and modern material scientist does not belief on the separate existence of the soul, which is source of symptom of life. Here such people are addresses.

According to truth and principle the soul of living-entity is beyond birth-death (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/20). Even going against the principle, and assuming living-entity has birth-death then also human shall not lament on the subject of birth-death. Nobody can avoid death, whosoever has born will die. Every moment body-form creature is decaying. This way this body is not stable even for a moment, it is constantly changing.

Because those who have born will definitely die, and one who has die will sure take birth. Therefore, it is against your status to lament on the unsolved subject. (02/27)

To lament on which has no treatment is like inviting another sorrow. According to the deed rebirth take place. Material bonded human remain in birth-death cycle without liberation. To fight for the right cause does not invite sin and performing it as responsibility liberates the performer. Therefore, human shall not fear of death in war.

The birth-death cycle is functioning from the primitive time and will continue for indefinite time. The sons of Dhrtarastra born will definitely die, no one can avert. If Arjuna assumes that Guru Dronacarya and Bhismapitama will die with body, then also they will take rebirth. So it is improper to lament on these.

Divine-God has presented simple perspective in next stanza.

O Bharat! All creatures before the birth were invisible and will become invisible after death, only in between are visible, therefore, nothing is in it to grief. (02/28)

Arjuna from great dynasty is being motivated to understand the great mystery of life and death.

Entire living-beings are without body before the birth and after the death therefore not visible at those times. Only in between the birth and death posses body and are visible by nerves-sense. Therefore, human shall not lament on these changes. Then who have seen this soul, on this His comment is in next stanza.

Some see this living-entity amazingly, some describe the soul amazingly and some hear about the soul amazingly and even listening it none know it. (02/29)

Human know the material-world through nerves, but soul is beyond nerves, it is subject of self-realization. Therefore, those who realized the soul are in great surprise.

The glories of soul which is integral part of Divine-God the Super-Soul are enormous, the knowledge of soul totally change the perception or consciousness of human, therefore, he share the element with great surprise. The glories of soul and Super-Soul are unexplainable by speech. One who is awakened and know the soul he is also not able to explain the soul completely or properly with speech or any other material learning tools.

The nerves are enlightened by soul, then how human can know soul completely by nerves or listening by ear. Even then the glories of soul which he hears make him surprise.

Soul is not know through the nerves, therefore by hearing people are unaware of the element of soul, which can only known with awaken mind and self-realization, and seldom people make sincere efforts to realize the soul.

The soul-form human when become bodily conscious and develop bonding with materials to struggle for existence or material-joy and accumulation, he forget his original form and is detached from Divine-God. It requires great deal of penance and sacrifice to attend and remain in soul-consciousness.

O descendant of Bharat! This soul dwelling in everyone body can never be slain always. Therefore, you shall not lament for any creatures. (02/30)

The Divine-Lord is concluding his debate on need to acknowledge that immortal soul is separate from mortal body.

This soul under debate is existing in body of all creatures like human, animal, bird and plant etc. for ever no one can kill it. Therefore, Arjuna shall not lament for unpredictable body. The nature of body is mortal, every moment it decay and one day die with some excuse. However, in own sustainable form is soul, which is immortal, if this reality is known than it is not possible to worry for death.

Divine-God has given emphasize on creating awareness on the differences between living-entity or soul and body, sustainable and unsustainable, truth and untruth and indestructible and destructible etc. Unless Human is awakened on these they cannot progress significantly in devotion or ritual. All the human-being can experience these, this is not difficult, only sincere belief and efforts are needed. The concern caused by philosophy cannot be diminish by worry or grief only awaken mind can search the truth and solutions. Philosophy is matter of learning whereas soul is matter of self-realization, and possible only when human abandon his assumed mortal relation with body and nature and develop desire to get into union with Divine-God.

Moreover considering your own religion you shall not deviate from yourself responsibility. For the reason that there is no other best deed than religion inclusive war for Ksatriya. [31]

Ksatriya denote one who provide or “ksatri” shelter or umbrella, kshatriya is verb form of noun “ksat” hurt. The duty of Ksatriya is to protect others from harms or hurt. A righteous war make warrior eligible for heavenly planet.

Arjuna was not expected to fear on residue body, considering his self-religion. Every human has own nature and competence born out of own nature is self-religion.

Devotees are of four categories according to their quality not by birth or caste or class system of society. In the beginning of devotion every devotee is “sudra” or of limited capability. He face difficult to focus his mind into devotion in this phase. He is unable to abandon nature or “mayajal” illusion. In this stage he gain best-quality in association or serving Saint. Serving denote following the principle of Saint. And he graduate into “vayasha” category and gradually through devotion or meditation he accumulate religion property or control his material desire and discipline his nerves-senses-mind. The lust and material desire create violence or disturbance in nerves-senses-mind and intelligence and austere protect the nerves-senses-mind. Gradually devotee is elevated to ksatriya and gain the ability to slash “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun” and is able to oust nature born abnormalities like affection, hate, gread, angry and violance etc. Again gradually devotee is elivated to brahmanas and attend the ability to control the nerves-mind and natural reflection and self-realisation of soul and thereafter enter into the Brahma.

The result of ritual performed for years without knowing “OM” is mortal, and he who die without knowing “OM” is mesery (Brihdarnaykopnishad: 3 / 4–5–7–8)

The devotee transform gradually from “Tamsh-Demonaic” to “Rajash-Materialistic” to “Satvik-Divine”.

Arjuna was possissing the quality of ksatriya, who have the ability to face adversity, therefore, he was expected to perform his self-responsibility by participating in war for righteous cause and get liberation.

Divine-God has clarified doubt and on the dejection of Arjuna regarding possible death and associated sin in war with element of mortal-body and immortal-soul from eleven to thirty stanzas and now further clarifying through self-religion of ksatriyas.

Opportunity of war came by own is open door of heaven. O son of Partha! those ksatriyas are happy who get such opportunity of war. [32]

Arjuna who wanted nonviolent in war was condemns by Divine-God on his ignorance. A ksatriyas is expected to fignt unsought war with hostile-forces to protect the fellow-people.

A ksatriyas become happy after performing his responsible-deed in war situation. This satisfaction derived is unmattched from the satisfacity from enjoying any material of the world. A conscious human is always mativated in fuilfilling his responsibility. Even animal and bird enjoy the materials of wortld but only few get such great opportunity to fight rigtious war.

Arjuna has used his body as chariot and has targeted goal without failure. The war, though unwanted, infront of Arjuna was like a door of heaven. A ksatriyas has the penance in managing three “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun” , he acquired devine-property, has the ability to voyage heven, therefore, door of heaven is open for them. Those who wage war to suppress others ultimatelly are crused. They also lost body for which they commit sin. The real holy war is between property of nature and one who know to remain unattached from nature. They win over the nature by permanenmtlly abolising affection with nature and enter into divine-world, after this victory no defit is left behind.

However, if you do not execute religion inclusive war, then losing reputation and self-religion certainly will incur sin. [33]

Arjuna was famous brilliant fighter, had the blessing of lord Shiva, Lord Indra and Guru Dronacarya etc. Those who are famous they invite more criticism for their mistake impacting reputation adversely for long time. Abandoning self-religion or self-responsibility is case of negligence and sin. People will think out of fear Arjuna whom they were considering brave and righteous he show the face of cowardly when real challenge came to fight with the notorious brothers.

Arjuna ignoring his nature of born fighter will lose his reputation and self-religion of fighting for the righteous cause, thus for neglecting duties will fall into sin not virtue.

And for long time everyone will narrate the story of your disgrace and for reputed person disgrace is worse than death. [34]

Everyone will talk story of cowardly of Arjuna for long time jeopardy reputation severely. Many devotee refereeing own religion reflect that what people will think about him and he chose right path or abandon wrong deed. This motivates to perform devotion, and performing self-responsibility is the best way of devotion. It is better to die in battle than to earn bad name, because age ceases after death but bad name hunt for long time and it is worse than death for honorable person.

The creatures with whom Arjuna has no relation they will also criticize him for running way from battle field, not only friends and relatives etc.

You will lost your reputation from all those you are highly regarded, the great ascetics will believe that you have left the battlefield out of fear only. [35]

Lord Krishna further warned Arjuna that he has gained respect of great warriors by Guru Dronacarya, Krpacarya and Bhismapitama etc. They acknowledge him that he has defeated several demoniacs and suppressors etc. if he now withdraws from war his image will fall from their eye.

People will not belief that out of compassion for brothers and friends Arjuna left the battle-field, rather people like Duryodhana, Dushasan and Karna etc will take this opportunity to defamed him.

Maharathi is one who progress in devotion with great austere and sacrifice. Lust, material-desire, greed, hate and affection etc. are obstacle in devotion or in performing self-responsibility.

While mocking on your capability your rival will accuse you with several unkind words, which shall not be speak. What shall be disgusting than this? [36]

Anti or rival are those who harm without challenging or disturbing them. They are not created enemy. Duryodhana and Dushasan etc. where always harming Pandavas without any reason.

Duryodhana, Dushasan, Karna etc. knowingly very well bravery of Arjuna , will indulge in campaign to spoil his image with harsh words which shall not be used. Which will be painful than death. The questioning on own talent and discard are unbearable situation for honorable people like Arjuna.

O Son of Kunti! Either you will be killed in battle and attend heaven, or rule over the world by winning the battle. Therefore, you should stand up with decision to fight. [37]

Arjuna had shared his concern on uncertainty of who will win the battle. Divine-God is responding to this in particular that if Karna etc. are able to kill Arjuna, then sacrifice of life of Arjuna for holy cause will be virtue and thus he will attend heaven and if he won the battle, he will get entire world to rule. Therefore, in either case fortune of Arjuna is ensured.

On betray from Karovas, Mother Kunti had blessed and instructed Pandavas to fight for the rights. Here, Divine-God by refereing Arjuna as son of Kunti, he is reminding the advive of mother to Arjuna. So that he will understan his responsibility.

Divine-God is giving his virdict that in no case anyone shall abandon his responsibility, therefore, He is advising Arjuna to makeup his mind for war for the benefit of all, abondoning affection and hate. The unattached deeds are the way for heaven.

Consider victory or defeat, loss or gain and happiness and distress equally then fight war. Fighting in this way you will not incur sin. [38]

Arjuna believed that war will invite sin for him. Here Divine-God is clarifying that war is not cause of sin, rather desires is cause of sin. Therefore, he shall abandon his desire and affection with family and agree on to fight war. The affection with family was dismotivating Arjuna, affection cause desire and desire cause bonding with nature which is main cause for rebirth and hell.

Victory and defeat are the immediate result of war, which produces gain and loss, this chain further produces happy and sorrow. The responsibility of Arjuna is not based on intention of victory and defeat, gain and loss, and happy and sorrow, his objective shall be to remain even in all these three and perform his responsibility. Wan unattached from victory and defeat, gain and loss, and happy and sorrow does not invite sin or in other words not bonded with nature.

The deeds perform in expectation are bonded with nature and cause rebirth and hell. The deeds perform without any expectation for the universal well-being facilitates liberation from birth-death cycle.

O son of Partha! This knowledge of equality or equality mentality was firsly explain in the context of Sanhkya-Yoga, now listen this in the context of Karmayoga, awaken with that knowledge of equality you will abandon bonding of fruitive desire with deed. [39]

Sankhya means that which describe things in details, here it in context of description of real nature of soul. Yoga denote control of senses, thus explaination on how to control senses and realize own soul-form is Sankhya-Yoga. After analytical description of the body and soul in Sanhkya-Yoga, now Divine-God like to explain the Karmayoga the practical of devotional services or deed unattached from sense gratification as direct communion with Divine-Lord, who exist in everyone (10/10). This communion is effective through divine services or in divine consciousness.

The element of Sankhya-Yoga has been explained from eleven to thirty stanzas of this second chapter. When human abandon affection he attend status of equality which is a form of Divine-God. After that how this equality-mentality of knowledge of equality is attend through “karmayoga” which deed unattached from desire to enjoy fruits of deed.

Arjuna has apprehension that engagement in war will cause sin. However, the inequality driven mind creates affection-hate which cause sin. When human mind is driven by value of equality, he is impartial free from affection-hate and his deeds are not bonded with material desire and hence free from sin.

The Karmagogi perform his all deeds dedicating to universal wellbeing without any expectation of enjoying the fruits. This liberates from bonding and facilitate in attending feeling of equality.

All wars as per function are same, however war driven for material-joy, accumulation, slavery etc. and righteous war are different in perspective and human-value. O son of Partha! This knowledge of equality has been firstly explained in the context of “Sankhayog” , now listen this in the context of “Karmayog”, when you act with this knowledge you free yourself from the bondage of deeds. [40]

The glory of knowledge of equality has been described into four following points: i) from this bonding with deed ceases, ii) results of this never ceases, iii) there is no reverse fruits or results of this and iv) simple ritual of this liberate from great fear.

Even if knowledge of equality has only been initiated this initiative never ceases. The simply yearn for equality in mind, qualify as initiative of knowledge of equality. The covet or desire of truth is also truth.

The equality mined human perform deed without any expectation for the universal well-being, which enable the human free from affection-hate to assent heaven thus there is no reverse fruits or results of initiative based on knowledge of equality.

Prevailing of inequality in society or in mind of individual, bonding with affection-hate are adverse fruits or results which cause rebirth and hell. Human in feeling of equality is free from affection-hate and never attend reverse or adverse fruits or results.

The fruit of knowledge of equality is immortal. Even if devote is able to perform few or small deeds based on equality he is free from bondage of deed and fear of rebirth. The matured knowledge of equality enables the devotee to response equally to favorable-unfavorable object, human, event and situation etc. The results of deed of such people never ceases it become immortal, this never exhaust.

Human with equality feeling is free from affection-hate and thus in absence of affection-hate he is also free from abnormality and then no reason for adverse results.

O Arjuna! There is only one functional mined in this unattached karmayog, However, the mind of unstable ideology irrational material-desired human is of multi-branches and infinite. [41]

The devotee strives to attain equality which is the form of Divine-God. The conscious of equality internally in nerves-senses-mind is the means to attend equality form Divine-God. The affection is baggiest obstacle in equality of internal nerves-senses-mind. The sole aim of removing the affection form obstacle or realization of element of Divine is called single-minded business. Since the devotee abandon material desires their mind is easily focus in realization of equality or element of Divine and thus called single minded business.

When one attend higher perfection of divine consciousness, by renunciation of material conception of life, his all activities are in absolute plane, without subject of dualities of good or bad. The divine business is to strive to attend divine consciousness.

Those who are engage in material-joy and accumulation their desires are infinite and all are obstacle or disturbance in divine path. The infinite desires compel mind to work in several directions. Such people lack interest in realization of element of divine.

O son of Partha! Those who are engaging themselves in sense gratification, those who have affection with words of Vedas praising fruitive activities for elevation to heavenly planets, in whose mind heavenly-joy is best, they irrational human speak in decorative words that nothing is great than sense gratification and opulent life enjoyment. [42,43]

Material conscious human is drowned in desires he lack understanding that his own soul-form and desire are separate entities.

Many think that there is available of divine-joy in heaven, and motivated by this they day and night struggles to achieve this, which is best in their knowledge.

These people are influence by the description of worldly and heavenly joy in Vedas and thus their deeds are also attached to achieve those worldly and heavenly joy.

Those who lack knowledge on difference between truth-untruth, sustainable-unsustainable, destructive-undestructive etc. such irrational people expand rebirth causing activities for material satisfaction and accumulation and for show speak language of Vedas in sweet sainted voice and consider Vedas as proof. The result of following such message is immortal like their decorative words. Such deeds only cause affection and rebirth.

The rituals prescribed by decorative words generate ample material function and hardship.

Whose mind has been hijacked by those decorative words, or drawn towards sensual gratification, and those who are bewildered to material-joy and accumulation, those human lack resolute devotion on Divine-God. [44]

Those who are impressed by them they loss their own intelligence and gain nothing. Such listeners and those who are attached with material-joy and accumulation lack functional mind internally, and determination to attend element of Divine.

Word or speech, touch, appearance or sight, taste and smell are five senses, and comfort for body, honor, appreciation are sensual gratification. And accumulation of resources for sensual gratification is “Ashwariya”. Those who are attached with material-joy and accumulation are materialistic mind or material conscious human. And those are of “asuri-sampati” or demonic property. “asu” denote life, and those who want to continue to live are “ssuri” , i.e. remain in birth-death cycle.

Human shall rise above the happy-sorrow, and perform his responsibility deeds, consider contacted favorable-unfavorable situation as resources for devotion or universal wellbeing and not for consumption and enjoy.

Those who does not acknowledge that they have receive human body to get liberation from birth-death cycle, their business is not directed toward Divine-God, rather towards material-joys and accumulation inviting rebirth and hell. The bonding with material is obstacle in realization of element of Divine. As long as human has desire for material-joy, accumulation and honor etc he is not focused on devotion, his mind has been hijacked by material desires.

Veda explained only the function of “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun”, O Arjuna! you be unattached from this three properties, get free from internal conflict, consciously rest on element of Divine, abandon material-desire, become divine consciouness. [45]

Vedas throw light on only three properties i.e. “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun”, they does not know beyond that. Therefore, Arjuna is advised to raise above “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun” or beyond the boundry of Vedas. This can be achived by becoming free from the internal conflict of affection-hate, happy-sorrow, gain-loss, honor-dishonor etc. and abonding meterial desire and acknowledging own soul-form to get into union with Divine-God. The next stanza suggest that he who raise above attend Brahma.

Vedas explain both i) the worldly and heavenly deed to enjoy the world and heaven or in other words deed perform in expectation of benefiting from the fruits, which cause rebirth and also ii) performing unattached deeds dedicating to universal wellbeing abandoning bonding with body-nature and which liberate human from birth-death cycle. The nature of deed of human is influence by the “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun”. Here Vedas has not been critisised rather only it limitation has been highlighted and human is suggested to prefer unattached deed.

The internal conflict of affection-hate etc cause bonding of living entity with body-nature and rebirth (Bhagavad-Gita: 03/34) therefore, human shall be free from internal conflict. When living entity is free from internal conflict he is fully devoted (Bhagavad-Gita: 07/27), he is free from the bonding with nature (Bhagavad-Gita: 05/03), he is free from ignorance (Bhagavad-Gita: 15/05), he is not bonded while performing deeds (Bhagavad-Gita: 04/22).

It is natural that if living entity will have affection with some he will have hate with others. This abnormality discard Divine-God. However, when living entity is in love with Divine-God, he raised above the “Satvik-Rajash-Tamsh Gun”, he lack affection with world, he does not hate unfavorable or adversity rather he discard unfavorable, this indiffrence attitude help gradually in abandoning affection-hate permatenly.

When mind of living entity is free from affection-hate etc. he attend divine conscious easily. Then he need not to bother about his well-being, Divine-God take care of divine conscious living entity who is under His shelter (Bhagavad-Gita: 09/22). Thereafter, his sole objective should be realisation of element of Divine.

The purpose served by the small water body for human who has the access to the full reservoir of water, Vedas serve the same purpose to human who know the element of Divine or Brahma. [46]

The creatures are integral part of Divine-God, unfortunately in attachment with nature they are deviated and unable to acknowledge own soul-form. The revival of divine conscious of individual is the highest perfectional stage of scripture. Those who rise above the Vedas or scriptures they know the Brahma. Arjuna who is presently at the level of ksatriya is being motivated to graduate to Brahman categories-one who know the Brahma. The spiritual succession is based on karma or deed not by birth as per distorted tradition.

Water of small check dam or water bodies contaminate sooner, if used for irrigation dry quickly, whereas the water of big reservoir remain in their natural condition for longer time. And all the purpose of smaller water bodies is fulfilled by bigger water reservoir. Similarly, for the person who has realizes the element of Divine or of Brahma status has less meaning for the ritual, fasting, alms, charity and deed etc. prescribed in Vedas or any scripture. For them charity are like smaller water body. Further, in seventy stanza of this second chapter state that knowledgeable saint are stable like sea, the numerous material-joys offered to them does not produces abnormalities in them, they remain unattached from material-desire.

In sum up, after realizing element of Divine, human is free from three modes of material property, lack affection-hate etc. and rest at sustainable soul-form, free from material-desire and if he receive any object he does not generate desire to enjoy it, rather use it for the benefit of those who deserve it or for most needy.

You have only right to perform responsible deed, not entitled to its fruits, therefore, does not become owner of its fruits, also never have affection with not performing your duty. [47]

Human is endowed with attribute of intelligence or capacity to reason in favor or against a proposition. It is his right to perform responsible deed and he has the liberty to do so, because human-body is karmayoni or deed-species. Animal, bird and plant etc. are not expected to do new deeds. Human body becomes last birth for those who take this opportunity to liberate themselves from birth-death cycle, by performing new services for the wellbeing of others. Otherwise, those who perform deed for accumulating lavishness are bonded with nature inviting rebirth, if they do refuse to perform deed they become victim of ignorance, day-dream, laziness which cause repeatedly rebirths.

Human being enjoys the rights to benefit from deeds of previous birth and performing new deeds. Animal, bird and plant etc. are mostly confined to enjoy the deeds of previous birth. There is no resolution for new deed for them. Nevertheless, human body is a great opportunity to achieve liberation from attachment of affection-hate etc. and attend heavenly peace and happiness.

Human is independent in performing new deeds, but dependent on favorable-unfavorable of previous deeds. However, by utilizing in best way the favorable-unfavorable for the benefit of others not for own happy-sorrow, and performing best deeds for others, he liberate himself from birth-death cycle.

Human in ignorance only become happy-sorrow by contacting with fortunate-unfortunate situation, happy-sorrow from situation is not the fruits of deeds, because fortunate-unfortunate situation is many times external factor and happy-sorrow is felt internally. He experiences happy-sorrow because of his desire for fortunate situations or happiness, therefore, when he is lucky and get favorable he is happy, if he encounter unfavorable, he is disappointed, and react because his desire has made him sad.

Wise and awaken human does not develop attachment with situations, when they receive favorable situation they simply use it for the services of others and when they receive un-favorable situation they abandon desire for material-joy. He realizes that human commit sin motivated by desires and greed etc. Therefore, better abandoning desire for material-joy and happiness dedicate all deeds for universal wellbeing and get free from bonding with nature and rebirth.

When human perform deed in expectation of fruits he is bonded with nature and invite his downfall (Bhagavad-Gita: 05/12), when human abandon desire, his feeling of doer ceases and he become unattached from deed. Further, this also helps him to detach self from the fruits. All the deeds are performed in relation with materials of nature, therefore to claim on the fruits is dishonesty. Human is independent in developing relation with fruits. Human with materialistic mind have desire to gain lavishness, honor, respect, status etc. from the deed.

Human shall realize that enjoying the fruits of deeds increases desires and desires make human dependent and on case of un-fulfillment of desire human grief. Deed and their fruits start and end they are not sustainable, whereas human in soul-form is sustainable and soul-form does not get actually any benefit or satisfaction from deed and its fruits rather it cause bonding and downfall or rebirth. To perform deed without any expectation of personal benefit only for the universe wellbeing need intelligence thinking and social service feeling. People should prefer to think solution of the problems of all not of alone.

Human shall not have feeling of belongings with nerves-senses-mind-body which are instrument in deeds, and cause bonding (Bhagavad-Gita: 05/11). The feeling of doer in charity that I have facilitated so and so for so many people also cause attachment of honor or recognize , which is bonding in nature and cause rebirth.

In sum-up, the suggestions are i) human has only right to perform deed, ii) human does not right to claim on fruits produces in relation with nature which universal resources, iii) human or doer shall not become beneficiary or stakeholder or sense of proprietorship of fruits of deed performed by him, iv) human shall does not have even affection with not performing deed or inaction etc. unattachment from deed is karamyog. Arjuna inaction is sin, only fighting is auspicious path of salvation for him at current circumstances.

O Dhananjaya! Perform your duty in “yog” with even conscious in success or failure, abandoning affection, because equality conscious is called “yog”. [48]

Yoga teach us to concentrate mind upon the Supreme-Lord or Divine-God by controlling ever disturbing senses and to perform deed without bothering gain or victory, not to satisfy himself but following dictation of Divine-God.

When there is no affection with fruits of any deed, territory, time, event, situation, internal nerves and mind, external senses etc natural object, then only human can perform unattached deed or deed without any expectation. Without abandoning affection deed is never free from bonding.

The result of abandoning affection is that human become equality conscious in success and failure, favorable and unfavorable, and respect and disrespect etc. The karmayogi has such level of equality conscious that he is empowered to perform responsibility deed in any favorable or unfavorable situation. The devotee who constantly pursue objective of equality he gradually attend internally equality consciousness (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/53).

When human is constantly even in success and failure he is consciously in “yog” or in union with Divine-God. Advice for human is to perform responsible deed always in equality conscious. Further nineteen stanza of chapter five state who is in equality conscious they have won the world in living condition, because Brahma is innocent and even, thus they status in Brahma. The other definition of “yog” is abandoning sorrow from favorable-unfavorable. Actually abandoning material world is a status free from sorrow in favorable-unfavorable. By dedicating all deeds for universal wellbeing human attend equality conscious easily. Internal nerves-mind free from affection-hate etc. is devotion form of equality. When human single minded decide to attend equality, then he remain even in favorable-unfavorable.

O Dhananjaya! Desire driven deed from distance is lowest in compare to Knowledge-yog. Therefore, you take shelter of Divine-Knowledge, because proprietors of deed are misery. [49]

Further it is explain that Divine-Knowledge which advocate dedication to equality is best in compare to the material desires driven deeds.

Knowledge-Yog which advocates performing unattached deed for universal wellbeing to attend equality conscious and union with Divine-God is far superior, because it give immortal fruits, on other hand the inferior attached deed for material-joy and accumulation cause rebirth hence inviting downfall in religious term. No deed exclusive of equality has the potential to facilitate salvation of human-being, equality is the strength or efficiency in deed. Equality is best in entire deeds. Lack of equality conscious bring ego, sense of belongings, which is animal instinct.

Light and darkness can never be in same position, similarly inferior unattached deed for material gratification and accumulation and Knowledge-yog or karmayog which unattached the human from deed and its fruits and facilitate liberation are in far distance, incomparable.

Existing always in equality conscious is called taking shelter of Divine-Knowledge or Karmayog. Further, Divine-God is warning that developing relation with deed and its fruits is prohibited. The deed performed in expectation of material-joy and accumulation, continuously bind the doer with birth-death cycle, such ignorance people does not have sympathy with own soul. Therefore, one shall never have desire to be cause for deed.

Equality conscious human while living alive abandon virtue and sin. Therefore, you get engage in Yog, because Yog is the art of deed. (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/50)

Since inception of world living entities ignoring their real constitutional position are accumulating reaction of their good and bad deeds. The knowledge of divine or equality or yog teaches human to surrender to Divine-God in all respects and become liberation from the chained victimization of action and reaction, birth after birth.

Equality conscious human free themselves from the bonding of deed and thus virtue and sin in this world. Those who are engage in deed of equality are free from virtue and sin (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/38). The equality is such type of knowledge that while human living in this world gets detached from the affection with world. They are untouched by virtue-sin. Therefore, human is advised to perform deed of equality and remain in equality conscious. The deeds of universal wellbeing are very much in congruence with principle of equality.

Remaining even in success-failure, happy-sorrow, performing deed free from affection-hate is art of deed. This does not bonded human with deed. Therefore, to be even while performing mortal material deed is matter of efficiency and wise.

At the time your intelligence will properly swim across the delusion form daldal-swamp, at that time you will renounce affection with all the worldly and heavenly gratification that you have heard or will hear. [52]

Developing ego in mind, sense of belongingness with creature, object, situation and event etc. are affection. Affection is only assumed relation of bodily conscious human.

Experiencing happiness-sorrow in favorable-unfavorable creature, object, situation and event etc. and practicing inequality in family and society and partiality abnormalities are delusion form daldal-swamp. When human is trapped in delusion form daldal-swamp he lost sense of responsibility and his vision is limited under material affection.

Soul-form human assume relation with body and nature which are bonding in nature, the objects with whom relation are developed are mortal, therefore, relation also cannot sustain. Human in affection does not acknowledge this and keep on expanding relation with materials. In these ways human continue to enjoy accumulating mortal materials, affection with creature and family etc., this is trap of his intelligence in delusion form marshland, and losing opportunity of liberation from birth-death cycle.

When Karmayogi develop strong will power for universal wellbeing, his affection with material-joy ceases and he is liberated.

Because Intelligence human empowered with equality-knowledge abandoning fruits produces out of deeds, liberated from bonding of birth-death cycle attend divine position free from abnormality. [51]

One who is equality conscious he is intelligence, know the path of divine world. One who does abandon worldly deed without bonding of hate and perform heavenly deed without bonding of affection is intelligence (Bhagavad-Gita: 10/10).

Intelligence human empowered with knowledge of equality lack abnormalities of affection-hate, desire, lust and sense of belonging etc., and does not become cause for rebirth.

The Divine-God is form of free from abnormalities. Body and nature are subject to abnormalities. When soul-form human assume relation with body then he become abnormal. However, when he abandon the assumed relation with body he naturally gain the soul conscious free from any abnormality. This way practice of equality in favorable-unfavorable is sure short for attending position free from abnormalities. When human lack relation with mortal body and nature, he naturally attend position free from abnormalities.

At the time when your mind unstable by different opinions of scriptures, become stable and fixed on Divine-God, at that time you will self realize element of Divine. [53]

Divine-God after advising to get free from delusion of material world is now motivating to get rid of disputed opinions of scriptures. Arjuna in his own version of religion was in dilemma whether to fight war and kill own relatives and friends or to abandon his responsibility of a “Ksatriya”. The advice is to stable own mind in the context of differences of opinions in scriptures and fixed yourself upon Divine-God.

Many devotees after making his mind to dedicate his life for devotion and social cause become concern on method of devotion. The community of scriptures deals with creature, material world and Divine-God in different forms. The devotee shall think thoughtfully that he is some form of creature-everyone will have one opinion on this , whatever is the form of material world he need to abandon it-here also everyone will have one opinion and whatever the form of Divine-God is he has to realize it sole minded- again everyone will have one opinion. The devotee makes his mind stable deciding these ways and is able to fix his mind upon realization of element of Divine.

The lacuna in decision on scripture and determination on own salvation, impede the spiritual progress in same intensity.

Actually living-entity in soul-form is integral part of Divine-God. When he develops attachment with body and nature drown in material desire he is detached from Divine-God. Here emphasis is with the conclusive knowledge abandoning the assumed relation with body and nature or discarding bodily conscious and regaining soul conscious.

The deeper and deeper the concentration of meditation facilitates to learn the highest ecstasy of feeling the union of soul and Divine-God. The greatest sin is insincerity or treachery. One should never betray anyone through speech or action. One who disregard this rule he suffer. There is nothing greater than sincerity in human relationship, one who protects his sincerity and speaks truth he is undisturbed in spiritual path.

Pledge of Arjuna

Arjuna said: O Krishna, what are the symptoms of stable mind devotee in Samadhi, How he speaks? How does he seat? How does he walk? [54]

Samadhi is highest ecstasy of feeling the union of soul with Divine-God. By meditation and conscious ecstasy the soul become established in its true nature and is liberated from its mortal nature or ego. A yogi always beholds himself as the perfect image of ever-blissful God.

The curious Arjuna is asking the symptoms or characteristics of Divine-Conscious devotee, he may consider them as his role model. How is his voice? How does he seat? How does he walk and behave etc.? All these are important because a well dressed fool men when speak he is easily identified and so on.

Pledge of Divine-God

Divine-God said: O Partha, The time when devote completely abandon entire material desires and is blissfully awaken in soul-form, then he is said to be in transcendental consciousness. [55]

Living-entity can realize his nature and his oneness with God, who is sources of all living- entities, omnipresent, ever-conscious, ever-newly joyous, limitless Being. Soul the image of God is ever-conscious, ever-newly joyous individualized Being, confined in the physical bodies by rebirth-making mortal habits and desires.

Yoga teaches to behold itself as a reflection of God, undisturbed by the breeze of desires. When one completely destroy his identification with ego or “I”, then he has learned how to liberate itself from material conscious body and establish in image of God, omnipresence and ever-blissful.

When living-entity develops relation with mortal desires he is in misery. When he abandons all material desires he naturally attends satisfaction. There is no dearth in Divine-God, when living-entity attends soul-form he in union with Spirit enjoy sustainable divine bliss.

Whose mind does not agitate in experiencing sorrow in physical, astral and mental plane or bodies, and thrill in achieving happiness, and whose affection, fear and angry have ceases, he is “muni” sage of steady mind, dwell in the image of Divine-God. [56]

Divine-God is explaining on the associated feeling or intention with the thought and deed because when the feeling or intention of doer change in performing the same deed, the quality or nature of deed accordingly changes.

Here example of such person has been presented whose mind is not disturb or agitated while performing responsibility deed he encounter obstacle or respect-disrespect, success-failure or apprehend possible encounter of pain or sorrow in future.

When human being perform deed dedicated to wellbeing of others, without expectation of material gain or honor or virtue, doer is unattached from affection-hate, desire and belongingness etc. he is in state of divine bliss and when encounter unfavorable situation he is unaffected free from heartbreaking.

The person in example is free from the desire of favorable, thus when he experiences favorable fruit, respect, praise and conducive atmosphere he does not become excited and also does not desire that these favorable fortunes shall sustain for ever or he shall enjoy without interruption. He is internally free from favorable.

When mind is attracted or has influence of worldly materials it is called affection. When a stronger person or opponent damage the affectionate prospect or belonging object etc. human fear, when the destructive or culprit is weak, human become angry against him. However, one is awaken to facilitate well-being, happy and peace in other lives, his affection ceases naturally and thus his fear and angry also subsidized consequently. One who belief in the one absolute universal sovereignty of Divine-God, and existing of no other sovereignty in world under the shelter of Divine-God he is always fearless. Because he lack affection he is able to control or manage adversity and angry.

Lust and desire are form of affection. Hidden affection internally in nerves-senses-mind is lust or obsession, the feeling that I shall get this object is desire, possibility of fulfillment of desire is hope, even after fulfillment of desire when human strive for more and more it is greed and when it further increases it is converted into “trishna” or thirst. In sum up the mentality of thinking that mortal materials are best and attraction towards those are called lust or desire etc.

When the soul learn to liberate itself from physical, astral and mental plane or bodies he is established in its real, perfect nature as the blissful image of Divine-God, omnipresence and ever blissful.

The mind of thoughtful karmyogi is stable unbrokenable, he is called as ‘Muni” and referred as “moun” character in (Bhagavad-Gita: 17/16). Here thoughtfulness denote taking special precaution to remain immune from lust and desire.

The human who is completely or from everything free from affection neither manifest happy nor hate achieving whatever fortunate or unfortunate objects, his foundation of mind is stable or firmly fixed in perfect knowledge.[57]

In the previous stanza advice was to be free from affection-hate while performing deed. Now here advice is to remain even on the obtained fortunate-unfortunate results of deed.

There is always upheaval or turmoil in the material world because this world is full of duality. One who is not affected or agitated by material mayhem or good-evil is understood to be in Divine conscious.

Free from affection denote no attachment with all those who are called as own like body, nerves, mind, mind, women, children, home, wealth, honor and position etc.

Fortunate objects or events etc. are those who facilitate realization of element of Divine and objects or events which attaché with mortal nature are unfortunate. The devotee who is fixed in perfect knowledge is free from happy-sorrow because neither achievable nor expected object is different or special or valuable than him and nor he can be infected with abnormality. In other words he has no more vested interests in any mission, such person is in stable mind.

The fortunate-unfortunate object, creature, situation and event etc. create affect upon mind when mind is free from affection-hate and happy-sorrow etc. abnormalities then foundation of mind is stable and affect of fortunate-unfortunate ceases eventually.

The way tortoise pulls from all side his limbs within the shell, likewise when Karmayogi withdraw all his nerves from senses at that time foundation of his mind is stable. [58]

On apprehending any untoward incident or threat tortoise put inside its six limbs –four legs, one head and one tail within the its hard shell for protection, similarly human with sole aim of realization of element of divine shall withhold or restrict its five nerves and mind from the sensual subject or gratification. Analogy of tortoise a devotee totally detached nerves form mind. He does not think at all of senses-subject or sense gratification and undisturbed reside in divine consciousness.

While human close his eyes in day he is not able to see Sun and when he open his eyes he see Sun, which was already existing but due to close eye he was not able to see. Similarly Divine-God is omnipresence and dwell within every creature but due to ignorance and attachment with material desire he is not able to acknowledge his sustainable relation with Divine-God. When he is free from affection-hate and abandons material-joy and accumulation he is able to acknowledge the sovereignty of Divine-God.

The human those who does not accept sense gratification by nerves, he is only unattached from sense, but affection living in it does not ceases. This divine conscious human realizing element of Divine completely abandon affection. [59]

Unless devotee completely renounce the worldly and heavenly desire and accept that entire world is dependent on the sovereignty of Divine-God, materials or creature does not have independent sovereignty and are mortal and make is sole aim to realize his immortal soul-form, his desire remain internally even if he may be detaching his nerves from the senses by practicing yoga or thinking.

Many time for the sake of treatment Doctor barred patient from eating certain thing, he obey also but has hidden desire that after recovery he will be able to enjoy those, which is presently prohibited for him. He neither like restriction and nor lost taste.

The restriction of sense enjoyment is effective when he is internally free from affection. The advancement in divine consciousness cease the taste of mortal material.

The feeling of ego or “I-am” gradually develop in affection and cause misery to many. Therefore, human shall have affection with immortal, infinite and omnipresence Divine-God not with mortal worldly material.

O son of Kunti! The first nature nerves-senses are so strong reckless that they even forcefully carry away the mind of talented human in penance because of lack of abolision of affection. [60]

To conquer the nerves-senses-mind is most difficult war of world, even one who has conquered the nerves-senses-mind fall victim of luring of mortal body-nature. Though in divine conscious material enjoyment is distasteful, Visvamitra, a great sage was misled successfully by angel Menaka into sex enjoyment.

The nerves-senses-mind are first to determine the nature of human. A talented human is who know his responsible deed, the affect of various type of deed etc. Unfortunately when such human is not completely unattached from affection-hate, desire, greed and anger etc. his restriction on nerve-sense is not immune and he easily becomes victim of material temptation. The reason is that as long as influence of material sovereignty exit or reappear in mind human does not attend divine conscious and remain vulnerable to sense gratification.

Therefore, Devotee shall completely restrain his nerves-senses, fixed his conscious upon Me, and meditate, because those whose nerves-senses are under control only his mind is stable. [61]

When human does not allow his nerve to get attached with senses or material gratification, and is under the shelter of Divine-God, does not belief on mortal worldly sovereignty, he attend perfection and is free from affection-hate and thus material temptation. That human consider all situations as blessing of Divine-God and utilize them effectively in his realization of element of Divine.

The Karmayogi consider that only Divine-God belong to him, he belong to only Divine-God, material world does not belong to him, he does not belong to material world, Divine-God is always with him, nature is always departing him, he has sense of belongingness with only Divine-God.

Only austere and prohibition are not sufficient, reflections on element of Divine along with commitment is crucial in completely abolishing the sensual thoughts or reflections. When human facilitate Divine-God to dwell within him, the Divine-God burns up his all kinds of impurities. Thus, human desires shall be to fulfilling the desires of Divine-God or following His principle.

Here adverse affect of dominating nerves and mind have been highlighted. The uncontrolled nerves hijack mind and uncontrolled mind hijack intelligence or rational thinking. 61

Human who reflects on the objects of senses develop attachment for them, from attachment desire for those objects develop, and obstacles in realizing desires create angry. [62]

On constantly or strongly thinking of a sensual object, the senses develop desire for real engagement with that object. This motivate human to seek services of materialism. These influence of sense objects and puzzle of material existence cannot be controlled by simply artificial repression, because one who is bonded with affection, the slighted thought of sense pleasure agitates him to gratify his desires.

Human-being is always in between Divine-God and Material World. Divine-God does not pull human-being towards self. He has given reasoning power to every individual to apply and decide his own choice. When human being develop belongingness with own body and nature thus in affection become bodily conscious and forget his soul-form and his sustainable relation with Divine-God.

When human-being is not in divine conscious not acknowledging glories of Divine-God and not think of sovereignty of Divine-God, heaven and hell etc., then he is easily lured with material temptation and he is drown in thinking of material-joy.

Once human-being develop habit of enjoying fulfillment of his desire, he develop greed, and expect of continuation of supply of object and material-joy. However, human attached with affection when experience obstacle in fulfillment of desires he often becomes angry. Those who have affection with their knowledge, wealth and power etc., they keep desire to receive honor, respect and praise etc., if denied are disappointed and become angry. The material as well as demoniac conscious human has the inbuilt nature of angry.

Angry produces extreme irrational-mentality, irrational-mentality creates bewildered in memory-power, delusion in memory-power destroys divine conscious intelligence, and human fall down from his best mission to material-pool because of cease of intelligence. [63]

The obsession with material-joy, greed, belongingness and angry produce delusion or irrational though or mentality. Thought of just-unjust object ceases.

Human obsessed with material-joy, lost reasoning power, and under the influence of desire does such deeds which are prohibited. Human obsessed with greed does not bother about religion and anti-religion, and fair and unfair practice etc., he does not hesitate in cheating people. Human obsessed with belongingness lack feeling of even or equality, and exhibit partiality. Human obsessed with angry behave rudely, even with respectable person and harm others. He do not bother about how others will react?

The obsession with material-joy, greed and belongingness produces conscious of enjoy and vested interest and the obsession with angry produces conscious of ill-feeling for others and harming others. This is most dangerous and accordingly people have been warned here.

When human is in delusion he lost memory of what shall be done, what shall not be done. When human lost memory, reasoning power cease from his mind, he is not in a position to think wisely and decide judiciously. Which ultimately cause for the downfall. Here, suggestion is to prevent downfall human shall be in divine-conscious or under the shelter of Divine-God.

The Great human who has realized the function of soul, he with controlled nerves-mind free from affection-hate attend divine cleanness of internal nerves-mind while functioning with sensually manifested objects.[64]

The function attached with affection cause downfall and the function unattached from affection cause liberation of human. Divine-God is trying to bring into notice of this fact. When human is internally free from affection-hate, for him nowhere is ill-fortune, from which he need protection, also none fortune is left for him, for which he should have desire.

To control internal nerves-senses-mind is utmost importance to attend perfection for human aspiring salvation, because while performing function, affection with sensual objects may develop, and possibly inviting downfall.

The eye, ear, nose, tongue and skin are five nerves and sight/appearance, sound/words, smell, taste/juice and touch are respective five senses of human. The nerves shall be free from affection-hate, while using the nerves, to ensure that the nerves shall not accept respective senses with affection-hate. In other words any sensual-objects shall not be accepted on the basis of affection and rejected on the basis of hate. The attachment of affection-hate with nerves is enemy of devotee (Bhagavad-Gita:03/34), the devotee who is free from the internal conflict of affection-hate he is liberated happily (Bhagavad-Gita: 05/03).

Whose internal nerve is under control, his function is free from mentality of enjoyment, he while using sensual objects from respective nerves does not enjoy. When devotee use sensual objects free from affection-hate he attend divine cleanness and happiness. On the other hand attachment with affection-hate cause bonding with body-nature and misery.

With the union of divine blessing conscious his entire sorrow disappears. And mind of that happy conscious human withdrawn from all directions is promptly stabilized with Divine-God. [65]

The affection create desires and desires cause misery, when human is free from affection and desire etc. the miseries ceases and human attend happy conscious mind.

Ironically the human develop relation with body and nature in expectation of deriving happiness, pleasure and satisfaction etc., unfortunate the bonding with body and nature cause miseries. When desire for material-joy is abandoned, entire miseries ceases and mind is consciously in element of Divine, and human experiences sustainable divine peace and happiness. He is even or indifferent in contact with fortunate and ill fortunate situation.

Further, to be noted that there is no dearth in the immortal Divine-World, thus one who attend divine world unattached from affection and desire live in sustainable peace and happiness.

When human derive happiness from the subject of divine and develop curiosity for Divine-God, he realizes element of Divine quickly. However, who is not in union with Divine-God is explained in next stanza.

The human who has not won his own nerves-mental he do not have determined insight or mind , that unstable human lack commitment towards responsibility, in absence of such feeling he does not attend peace, then how a peace less human can get happiness? [66]

Only one who is in divine conscious enjoy the result of sacrifice and penance, he become proprietor of all universal manifestations, and his friendship with all creatures enable him to enjoy real sustainable divine peace and happiness.

Those who are not in divine conscious, with unstable nerves-mind they lack willingness or insight of performing unattached deed for others free from any expectation of enjoying materials, accumulation and honor etc.

The human who has not controlled his nerves-mind is disturbed and worry about fulfillment of his desires and thereafter, losing those achieved mortal objects and their fruits. The bonding with body and nature is obstacle, it divert mind into different directions, whereas single minded commitment is required in realization of element of Divine.

The materialistic human lack understanding that they need to perform only responsible deeds for own survivor and universal wellbeing, not for material-joy and accumulation which misappropriate natural resources and deny rights of others. They are not willing to abandon affection, hate, desire and greed etc. abnormality and dedicate deeds to universal wellbeing as a form of devotion and for purifying self, creating space for Divine-God to dwell.

The material attachment cause rebirth which is great misery and unattachment from material liberate the human from birth-death cycle which provide sustainable divine peace and happiness.

Without change in ego, “I-am” the nerves-mind are not controlled, when bodily conscious human changes to divine conscious, from this belong to me, to I belong to Devine-God, Divine-God belong to me, My sole aim is to realize the element of Divine, all this automatically control the nerves-mind.

Because as air hijack or sweep away boat floating in river, similarly from nerves roaming in senses, even if single nerve make mind tempted is enough to hijack or carry away intelligence. [67]

While human function, his nerves become attentive to their respective senses or object, if any nerve develop affection with respective sense or object it make mind tempted to that sense object. Thus mind wants to enjoy that object and importance of that object increases. Then mind alone is able to hijack the reasoning power of human. Thereafter, human does not remain a responsible human, he become a material-joy conscious. When materialism though dominates human lost his reasoning power or intelligence.

The opposite wind hijacks or blocks the boat swimming in river from moving towards the destination. Similarly, when single minded human move towards realization of element of Divine, during that time if nerves make mind tempted, that alone mind hijack insight or intelligence form boat of human. In other wards diverted toward worldly miseries.

Therefore, O Mighty-Armed, one who has restrained his nerves from their respective sense-object is certainly of steady intelligence. [68]

Those who are under the shelter of Divine-God, belief in the immortal infinite sovereignty of Divine-God, they can work throughout the world without legs and hands. Therefore, such divine conscious people are called Mighty-Armed. Both Arjuna and Divine-God have been referred as Mighty-Armed in scriptures.

One whose nerves in contact with senses in function with world or in thought does not deviate or disturb mind and intelligence, and lack desires for material-joy and accumulation is in restrain. In other words, nerves are restrain from senses denote nerves lack affection, obsession and attraction towards senses-objects.

The key message is that human shall lack material desires, his sole aim should be realization of element of Divine.

That Divine-God is like night for entire materialistic being, divine conscious human remain awaken in that night form Divine-God, the entire living entities awake for achieving which mortal worldly pleasures, that are like night for introspective sage, he remain alert. [69]

The Divine-God is invisible like night therefore He is like night for materialistic human being. Divine conscious human properly realize that night, or awaken human is able to see that night form Divine-God. Materialistic minded human being works day and night for material gratifications and accumulation. However, those are prohibited for introspective sage. Therefore, he remains alert and closes his eye towards those, that is like night, inactive time for them or does not like to see those.

Those whose nerves-mind are not restrained, do not bother about result of their deed or virtue-sin they all are considered as sleeping by Divine-God, they are living in dark. They are worst than animal, because animal lack intelligence mind they spending time in eating and rooming, but are not indulge in accumulation. Whereas human with reasoning power are deviated from Divine-God and engage in material-joy and accumulation, that cause misappropriation of resource, which is created by Divine-God with equal right to access to all creatures.

The divine conscious human restrain themselves from material gratification rather remain focus on his sole mission of realization of element Divine-God. They know the Divine-God, own soul and affect of nature. They know to utilize time and resources properly for those who are most needy, thus they know in better way their own worldly and heavenly deeds.

He who is always awaken, unattached from worldly material desire, enter into divine world, he while dwelling in world is unaffected from world (Ramcharitmanas, 2/323/8)

Just as with high velocity water of rivers submerge into from all directions completely filled invariable founded sea, without destabilizing, in same way the restrained renouncer who accomplish undisturbed or without subject to any abnormality the persistent flow of entire worldly materials of joy, he only attend the divine peace, not those who have desire for material-joy. [70]

All rivers of world submerge with sea, during heavy rain in rainy season, devastating floods are witnesses, destroying standing crops of fields and inhabitations etc., and thunderous floods merge with the water of vast ocean, however, the ocean remain steady on its own nature without any affect of constant intake of river water.

Similarly, the entire worldly enjoy present in front of restrained renouncer are unable to create any abnormality of affection, hate, desire, greed, angry, happy and sorrow internally in nerves-mind of his body. He use them unattached. The mortal worldly material joy is not able to reach or capture or aggress the immortal element of Divine in which he exist. A divine conscious human has no desire for worldly and heavenly joy. Therefore, he is satisfied and inhibit in sustainable divine peace and happy. The infinite selfsifficent divine level is free from any abnormality, no change or distruction take place in it. Therefore, peace and happiness dwell for ever.

Whaterver worldly material-joy a material conscious human recived he is never satisfied, his desires does not ceases, he is a worried man, strugling hard for accumulating and sustaining the mortal objects and pleasures, losing all his mental peace.

The human who function abandoning entire desires, and free from ego, “spriha”. necessity and “mamta” sense of belongingness, he dwell in divine peace. [71]

The feeling or want of unavailable or unaccomplished object or situation etc. is desire. The necessity for survival of human body is called “spriha”. The divine conscious human abandon both desire for necessity and material-joy. He even does not bother about his food, cloth and shelter etc, though he consumes or uses those.

Human assume his relation with body and matters, and think those belonging to him. However, those are part of nature, which he is accessing, thus his “mamta” sense of belongingness is based on false assumption. When human correct this mistake, his bonding with matters, creatures and situation etc., or feeling of belongingness ceases.

Ego or “I-am” or “this belong to me” are develop when human assumed relation with his body and nature. When human abandon his relation with his own body and nature he is easily free from Ego or “I-am” or “this belong to me”.

The peace is internal factor of human-being, human-being does not acquire peace externally. When human increases his ego, desires, greed and angry etc. he loses his peaceful state of mind, when he abandon ego, worldly desire, greed and angry etc., he naturally attend self proven peace.

Here ego, desire, necessity and belongingness have been mentioned, out of which ego the most crucial. The reason is that when human is able to completely abandon his ego, “I-am” or “This belong to me” , then for whom he will desire etc., thus desire, necessity and belongingness ceases simultaneously. However, for body conscious human to abandon ego is quite difficult without abandoning desire, necessity and belongingness. Thus, human shall abandon serially desire, necessity, belongingness and then ego to make renounce easy.

O Partha! Above mentioned are the status of those who have attended Brahma, attended this never none is tempted. Even if this status is attended at the end of life then also Brahma world is attended. [72]

Ego conscious human develop bonding with the nature which is obstacle in realization of element of Divine. When Human abandon his ego and bonding with nature i.e desire his bodily conscious or individualism ceases and he identify his own soul-form. At that duration he is in union with Divine-God and dwell in Brahma. When human abandon his assume relation with body and nature his individualism or ego ceases. In response to the question of Arjuna, Divine-God is clarifying that main character is that a divine conscious human does not live in bodily conscious or ego.

As long human has ego, he is tempted to worldly materials, when there is lack of ego then individualism is broken, possibility of temptation reduces and he consciously dwell in Brahma.

When human lack knowledge of truth-form immortal sovereignty and untruth form mortal sovereignty, he remains vulnerable to affection-hate. When human acknowledge that his relation with mortal material is not sustainable, but his soul-form is immortal and integral part of infinite immortal Divine-God, he discards worldly sovereignty (Bhagavad-Gita:04/35).

Human shall understand that this human body he has receive to realize element of Divine, get liberation from birth-death cycle and not to waste opportunity by developing bonding which cause rebirth. Those who liberate themselves from birth-death cycle they dwell in Brahma. A simple unattached ritual facilitate freedom from fear of birth-death (Bhagavad-Gita:02/40), even when human gather divine conscious at the time of death he is liberated (Bhagavad-Gita: 08/05).

Divine-God has given reasoning power or intelligence to every individual, which they should apply for detachment from the mortal material sovereignty and consciously move towards divine world. Divine-God has suggested two type of reasoning power or intelligence, first for identifying truth-untruth (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/11–30) and secondly knowing responsibility deed and irresponsibility deed (Bhagavad-Gita: 02/31–53).
